Swiss Legal Requirements
Under the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO), businesses have specific accounting duties. We ensure you stay fully compliant.
All legal entities (SA, Sàrl, etc.) must keep full accounts. Sole proprietors with revenue over CHF 500,000 also require full bookkeeping.
Inventory, balance sheet, income statement, and supporting documents must be kept for 10 years (20 years for real estate-related documents).
At minimum: balance sheet, income statement, and notes. These must be prepared within 6 months of the financial year end.
Restricted audit required from 10 employees. Ordinary audit required if 2 of 3 thresholds exceeded: CHF 20M balance sheet, CHF 40M revenue, or 250 employees.
